Tech Specs

The Low Cut was originally designed for rock climbers with muscular upper builds and smaller cup sizes. We got tired of sports bras digging into our muscle movement, so we made something better. Now, our original Basewear top has become the go-to for outdoor women who are ready to ditch their old sports bras and leave discomfort behind.

• Minimal Coverage (breathable & flattering)
• Ultra Comfy (naked fit / feel)
• Swim Friendly (yea, go ahead and jump in that lake)
• Perfect Fit Guarantee (it’s our mission to get you into the right fit)
• Designed by Outdoor Women (for anyone who wears a bra)
• Curved to Your Form (never restricts your muscle movement)
• Lay-Flat Straps (that go unnoticed under heavy backpacks)

Sustainability

You’ve been tolerating uncomfortable sports bras that don’t fit your entire life. We all have. Women of all body types have been living with discomfort and disappointment since the invention of the bra.

It’s gotten so bad that wanting to rip your bra off at the end of the day has become the standard. Spending on one item that will end your daily discomfort, and replace all your poorly designed bras and swimsuits is priceless… Plus it’s more sustainable. Buy one item, support grassroots, wear less, waste less.

What is Basewear?

Basewear (n.): Baselayer + Swimwear

So what’s with the word “Basewear”? We made it up. Our idea for wearing one single underlayer that could perform both on land and in the water didn’t fit into any other clothing category - so we made a new one.

Not only will you be prepared for any adventure (land or sea) you’ll stay so comfy you won’t even know it’s there.

The most comfortable hiking sports bra, EVER.

I literally live in these. I haven't worn another bra since I bought them. I can wear Basewear all day without even remembering I have it on.

I wear my Toura bra all the time. It is SO comfortable, not just for my back muscles but I am weirdly obsessed with the cut under the bust. Something about the curve up in the middle of my chest just makes it hug my body in the right places.
— Kailey (TK Supporter)
I wear my Basewear tops every day. Traditional bras, even sports bras, never worked for me. I like Basewear because I finally have a comfortable bra that I can wear all day, every day.
— Ellen (TK Supporter)
It’s the most comfortable sports bra ever. I row rafts and climb so have a muscular upper body and many sports bras cut into that area or are really unflattering.
— Patty (TK Supporter)
I first purchased Basewear to wear when training in the circus studio. Now I wear my Basewear bras every day- at work as a nurse, while hiking, for travel, and of course, when training aerial.

FAQ:

What is the difference between the Low Cut and the High Cut?

The Low Cut is as minimally designed as possible, with as little fabric as necessary. It is best suited for athletic builds and cup sizes A–C. In contrast, the High Cut can accommodate up to cup size DD with the same flattering design.

Where's the fun colors?

We are committed to sustainability, and part of that journey meant switching to fabric that is made from recycled plastic bottles. With this new fabric, we are more limited in our ability to produce colors. Someday we will create new colors for the TOURA, but it won't be anytime soon. For now - embrace the stealth look! Mother nature will thank you. ❤️

Can I wear a Low Cut if my cup size is above C?

Yes... but at your own risk! Those above C who wear the Low Cut say it's best for lounging at the beach, or when they want a more busty look. That said, you are at a high risk of popping a nip out of the top. The Low Cut is best if you have more pec muscle than breast tissue. Otherwise, High Cut is the way to go.
